Well at first if you dont eat your body stores fat because it goes into preservation mode, but then if it starts eating away at the fat in your body there will eventually be nothing left if your not putting food into your body!

Anorexic people are so skinny because they not only starve themselves, but they also exercise frequently. Although this can differ from person to person, this is the main reason. It can also just be that they have an extremely high metabolism.

It messes up your metabolism when you don’t eat. Obviously you would be skinny but not at all healthy and in the long run it would be hard to lose weight when you do start eating again

Because after awhile your body will eat fat then muscle for energy. people that are anorexic go with out food alot time for it to start eating fat and muscle and it is not recommended if you really do care about your health.

yeah I never got that myslef I think you can lose weight when starving yourself. Deffently not the right way to do it but it can be done. I think the reason why people say that so they can make people stop from being anorexic, but lying to people isn’t the right way to stop them. I dunno that’s just how I see it.

Yeah, it doesn’t make sense when you read it.
But the anorexics who are super-skinny usually have been anorexic for a long time. Over time, your body will eat at it’s muscle to supplement what you’re not getting.
It’s not a good way to lose weight, because honestly, the starvation, you screw up your metabolism for when you’re older and it becomes really hard to lose weight.
Plus, starvation – for girls, I know, you could lose your ability to reproduce.
edit: most people who ask on here how long it’d take to get this weight from starving themselves want a quick fix.
the quick fix usually results in gaining more weight later on.

starving yourself for a few days won’t make you skinner, anorexic people don’t eat for a longer period of time, where their body shuts down.
If you don’t eat for just a few days, you’re body starts to shut down and restore its fat.

it doesn’t really work because sweating is losing water to cool the body and you’ll eventually get it back the next time you drink water. If you want to lose weight try jogging everyday. It will build more muscle mass which it essential to losing weight. or lift weights and do crunches

I am 5 fee tall (short) and I’m 18… I weigh more than I would like to weigh and I want to drop as many pounds as I can by next friday… today is Saturday so what can I do diet wise and excersize wise? I am typically a petite girl but because of a birthcontrol I was on, I gained 30 unwanted pounds… i’m not expecting to lose 30 pounds by next week but I would like to know what I can do to look great by next friday… any ideas?
My ideal and (used to be) normal weight was 95 lbs… reaching 100 lbs was always hard for me to do until the birth control… I’m at 125 right now… i’m about a size 5 but would like to go down as much as possible… what can I do for the next week?
I currently have a pretty good diet… I only drink water (i HATE soda!) I eat lots of fruits and veggies… my diet is usually a salad or a simple no mayo no mustard turkey and veggies only kind of sandwich… I don’t eat much fatty foods… with that being said, I’m not sure if my diet is the main problem…. What kind of excersize should I do?

well the best way to lose weight is to get your metabolism to work faster.
Lay off eating anything with a lot of fat in it.
Drink 64 oz of water a day if possible.
Dont eat too many starches.
Green veggies are good but avoid corn and the like.
Did I mention, water? lol.

ok losing too much weight too fast is very bad for your health. Now im the complete opposite, i would like to gain 30 pounds by next friday! Now you dont need to lose 30 pounds, 10 or 15 would be fine. the best weight loss thing for me was getting sick once, i dropped 12 pounds in 2 days! lol but in all seriousness if you wanna lose that weight, work, work, work, work and work it off, thats all i can say. Dont eat ANY CARBS or FATS, and jog alllllllll day! If you have a diet low in carbs, then your body will be forced to use fats as a source of energy and it would burn off fat. Dont drink any soft drinks, dont even drink gatorade, just water, but dont over do it with the water either. Just wear heavy layers of sweats, and run or jog a good amoutn each day. Your only a short goal away from your destination, so work extremely hard and dont cheat your diet at all or slack off 1 bit and you’ll reach your goal rather quickly.

Trying biking or running for exercise, do this and bring some water to hydrate yourself so that you can run longer and so you don’t faint from heat exhaustion. Also do some pushups or other exercise to build muscle which will burn up calories.
Dietwise, watch your calories, try to stick under 2000 a day which your body will most likely burn off even if you are just staying still all day. Drink water only. (I usually drink juices and stuff, but if you are looking to lose as much weight as possible safely, just stick with water.) Don’t eat out and watch your portions.
You might not lose a ton of weight but if you continue a healthy diet and exercise routine you will be there pretty soon.

if u eat a bunch of small meals instead of 3 large meals your metabolism will work faster, and don’t eat stuff with ingredients that are hard to pronounce
